Alias
Inevitable, by Celli Lane
Pairing: Weiss/Vaughn
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Bristows come back from the dead, Rambaldi's last invention is used, and through it all, Eric Weiss waits for the inevitable.
Why I liked it: Whenever I think of this story, the only word that comes to mind is "brilliant." I can't even begin to explain what is so wonderful about it, but let me tell you this: It's long, it's beautifully written, it has surprises at every turn...it is, as I said, brilliant. It's also sweet, hot, funny, angsty, and snarky. All at the same time. This is not only my all-time favorite
Alias fic, but also may very well be my all-time favorite fic in ANY fandom. (Also an R-rated version available
here, if you prefer it.)
Harry Potter
The Courtship of Harry Potter, by Diana Williams
Pairing: Harry/Snape
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Another teacher's interest in Harry Potter forces a reluctant Snape to compete for the young man affections.
Why I liked it: This is the fic that seems to be able to turn people with an instinctive "ewww" reaction to Harry/Snape. I loved it. Rather than try to tell you anything about it, I think it's best if you just go read it! The premise sounds odd, but it's a great, great story.
Clipped Wings, by Theresa Ann Wymer
Pairing: Harry/Snape
Rating: R
Summary: After catastrophe, Harry deals with survivor's guilt and finds hope for himself and others.
Why I liked it: is one is quite a bit darker than the stories I usually rec, but also very, very good. It's a future fic, in an alternate universe (to paraphrase the author, "I profoundly hope it is!"). She even manages to redeem Dudley! Great story.
